Early Life and Background

Hitomi Mochizuki was born on November 3, 1997, in Brooklyn, New York. Her dad is Japanese, and her mom is Venezuelan, giving her a rich cultural background. The youngest of five, she grew up with two half-sisters and one half-brother in a family she’s described as challenging, facing abuse from her older siblings. Around age three, her family moved to upstate New York, where she spent her childhood until high school. She later lived in Maryland, where she started exploring spirituality and Buddhism, and then moved to Santa Barbara, California, to distance herself from family struggles. Hitomi has been open about dealing with depression and tough thoughts as a teen, which led her to write stories as an escape. She graduated high school but hasn’t shared details about further education, focusing instead on yoga and content creation.
