Early Life and Background

Christian LeBlanc, known as Lost LeBlanc, was born on March 18, 1993, in Vancouver, Canada. Raised in a middle-class family in Surrey, British Columbia, his father, Erik LeBlanc, worked in a cement manufacturing company and later took up farming, while his mother, Wayne LeBlanc, was a homemaker. As an only child, Christian was drawn to adventure early on, influenced by his mother’s nursing work in Saudi Arabia, which hinted at global possibilities. He attended the International School of Bangkok for part of his schooling and later graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business in 2015 with a degree in business administration. His college years sparked his interest in travel, especially after dating YouTuber Laura Reid, who introduced him to vlogging.

Rise to Fame

Christian launched his YouTube channel, “Lost LeBlanc,” on January 4, 2015, with his first video, “VANCOUVER to BANGKOK – DAY 1 OF MY VLOG SERIES AROUND ASIA!” Initially named Christian’s Travel Vlog, it was a personal project to document a trip to Thailand. While working a corporate job at Ernst & Young (EY) in 2014, he felt unfulfilled and quit in December 2015, selling his possessions and buying a one-way ticket to Bangkok with $5,000. His 2017 video “TOP 10 BALI (TRAVELLERS PARADISE)” exploded with over 4 million views, and “THIS IS HEAVEN – CORON PALAWAN” hit 4.4 million. Inspired by vloggers like Ben Brown, his cinematic travel videos on Instagram (@lostleblanc) and TikTok grew, making him a top travel influencer.... Show More
