Equipment

Hitchโ€™s mobile streaming setup is finely tuned for life on the road, built to withstand the unpredictability of real-time IRL content from across the globe. His broadcasts rely on a compact, high-performance rig centered around the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro and Insta360 X5 action cameras, capturing his journeys from every angleโ€”whether he's riding through the Arctic or waiting at a dusty roadside.

For audio, Hitch uses the DJI Mic wireless system to deliver clear voice capture in noisy or remote environments, while the Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Pro enables smooth switching and management of his video feeds. A lightweight SmallRig Mini tripod keeps his setup portable, and the LiveU Solo Pro encoder ensures a stable stream even in regions with inconsistent connectivity.

Full gear list, including phone, modem, and power essentials, is listed below.

Biography

Trevor Daneliuk, known online as Hitch, is a Canadian Twitch streamer and YouTuber whose real-life travel broadcasts have redefined what IRL streaming can be. Born in 1994 on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Hitch turned an unconventional lifestyle into a full-time pursuit by hitchhiking his way around the world—on camera. His streams are raw, spontaneous, and deeply human, capturing real-time stories of kindness, unpredictability, and cultural exchange as he navigates unfamiliar roads with nothing but a backpack, a camera, and the goodwill of strangers.

Since launching his streaming career in 2016, Hitch has documented more than 1,900 rides across 42 countries, offering viewers an intimate look at life from roadsides, gas stations, and passenger seats around the globe. His content found a wider audience in 2018 during a 48-state hitchhiking tour across the U.S., where 10-hour streams and unexpected encounters—like getting picked up by two men in clown makeup who broke into freestyle rap—cemented his status as a standout IRL creator. Even during the 2020 pandemic, when hitchhiking became unviable, he kept moving—this time by bicycle, pedaling over 8,000 km across Canada in just 84 days.... Show More
